I visited (maybe 4 or 5 times over a two-day span) the main Powell Books in downtown Portland. They had a shelf dedicated to books on 'Experiments'. There were a lot more interesting headings elsewhere.
My only experience with a store this specialized was at the Tower Records in Shibuya Japan, with music classifications such as 'Avant Pop'.
