I attended a conference in Denver last week. Denver is a 'mile high' city. Apparently, some travelers get mildly affected by the altitude- myself included. I did everything wrong on arrival: I went for a long walk down Colfax Avenue, I drank a fair bit of red wine, I ate some fatty food. I had dry eyes, was extremely thirsty, and slept poorly for days.
